Fat Tony

I started working at Everett Tattoo Emporium in March of 2002. The going joke was that they had to hire me as I had been hanging around in the shop since the early ’90’s getting tattooed by Eric Marts (now serving time at SEATTLE TATTOO EMPORIUM).

Eric actually started calling me “Fat Tony” an accident on his part, it stuck like glue and it wasn’t long before I spent $12 on a vinyl sticker for the back of my poor old 1974 VW Bus. My only form of advertisement in the early years, and to this day what I credit to continued success in the area. Now you will find the same sticker on my Scion XB, but I still have the bus.

I was fortunate enough to get the piercing position at Everett Tattoo Emporium as Natalie was retiring. She got me started, and that, coupled with the basic and advanced piercing courses offered by Fakir Musafar put me on the map here in Everett, getting my foot in the door. I was very lucky for this opportunity.

Shortly after I started piercing at shop I was offered a tattoo apprenticeship by Dick Everist. He allowed me the time to learn the mechanics of tattoo, walking me through machine and needle building as well as aesthetics, placement, and color use. I, like most before me, was blessed with a place to hone my skills, as well as people to tattoo. After these short years I still consider myself an apprentice. I pick up anything I can from fellow tattooers, showing my work to Dick, and ask for critique whenever an opportunity presents itself. Mostly from Lance Dozier at ELECTRA TATTOO.

I am proud to work at Everett’s Oldest and Finest shop. There is no competition in the area. We strive to be the friendliest shop that will cater to your needs. We have a staff of artists that run the range of specialties from portraits to your child’s name on your bicep. We offer a knowledgeable piercing staff and will take the time to educate you on any part of the piercing process. My customers are the best and I treat them as such. Please take a moment to check out our reviews on Google and let them do the talking for us.

I work at the shop Tuesday through Saturday. The best times to catch me would be between 11am and 5pm. I am happy to help with your design as well as making sure you are with the right artist.

Everett Tattoo Emporium is located at 2408 Broadway in Everett, has been for over 30 years now. You can Mapquest us or just give us a call for directions.
